Trex® Protect Joist & Beam Tape 50mm – 20m Roll

Trex® Protect is a high-performance, self-adhesive butyl tape designed to shield timber joists and beams from moisture damage. By sealing the tops of joists, beams, and other structural elements, it helps prevent water ingress that can cause wood rot, splitting, and loose fasteners over time.

Key Benefits

  • Protects horizontal and vertical surfaces including joists, beams, rim joists, steps, stair stringers, blocking, and ledger boards.

  • Helps deck screws hold stronger and last longer.

  • Acts as a barrier between timber and galvanized metal (e.g., joist hangers).

  • Prevents splitting caused by freeze/thaw cycles.

  • Provides a slip-resistant surface for safer installation.

  • Creates a waterproof seal beneath fascia boards.
