Is Dorchester Timber open on a Saturday?
Yes, we’re open 8am – 12pm on Saturdays. Pop in to discuss your project and enjoy a free coffee while you’re here.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We offer FREE delivery within a 20-mile radius of Dorchester, Dorset.
We can also deliver 20–30 miles away, though delivery may take a little longer.

Can you deliver outside of your free delivery area?
Yes, deliveries between 20–30 miles are possible but may take a few extra days.
How long does delivery take?
Around 90% of deliveries arrive within 4–5 working days.
What size delivery vehicles do you use?
We use 3.5-tonne flatbed trucks for most orders and an 18-tonne lorry with crane for larger or site deliveries.
Do you cut timber to size?
Yes, we offer a cutting and machining service. Full details can be found HERE.
How long does machining take?
Most jobs are completed within 48 hours, but may take up to 3 days during busy periods.

Do you offer trade credit accounts?
Yes. You can apply using our account form HERE, and a team member will be in touch.
Can I collect my order?
Yes, simply add For Collection in the order notes at checkout.

Do you offer Klarna?

Can I return an item for a refund?
Yes, just call or email and we’ll help resolve it and arrange a return if needed.

Can you supply non-standard timber sizes?
Yes, with nearly 40 years in the trade, we’ll always try our best to source what you need from our may trusted suppliers.
Lead times vary due to machining and supplier availability.
Can you supply sheet materials in bigger sizes?
Yes. We can source sheets such as MDF and Plywood in 10’ x 5’.
These are special order, with a 10 working day lead time and are non-refundable.

Can I change an order after placing it?

All Visa & Mastercard debit/credit cards, excluding American Express.
Do you offer installation services?
We don’t offer installation, but we can provide contact details for trusted local tradespeople.

How should timber be stored before use?
Store it flat, dry, off the ground, and ideally under cover to avoid movement or moisture damage.
