Liberon Finishing Oil is a high-quality wood finishing oil designed to nourish and protect bare timber while enhancing the natural colour and grain of the wood.

Ideal for interior woodwork, furniture, worktops, kitchen tables and bathroom furniture, it penetrates into the timber to provide a hard-wearing and water-resistant finish. It is also resistant to heat, alcohol and food acids, making it particularly well suited to surfaces that receive regular use.

The finish can range from satin to gloss, depending on the number of coats applied. Applying additional coats increases both the sheen and durability of the finished surface.

Hard-Wearing Wood Finish

Finishing Oil is designed to provide a durable finish for timber that is exposed to everyday use. Once applied, it provides resistance to water, heat, alcohol and food acids, making it a popular choice for kitchen worktops and tables.

The oil penetrates into the timber rather than forming a traditional film coating, helping to enhance the natural colour and grain of the wood.

Application

Apply to clean, dry and bare timber using a brush or lint-free cotton cloth. Allow the oil to penetrate for around 10–15 minutes, then wipe away any excess before it becomes sticky.

Allow to dry for approximately 5–6 hours before applying another coat. A minimum of three coats is recommended, with additional coats providing a higher sheen and increased durability.

For the best finish, lightly rub the surface between coats using very fine steel wool.
